Weather

I have often stated that my favorite days are those inclimate days when others with perhaps a lighter constitution for mist and rain stay away from the river.

When it is overcast, rain falling, you can become the trout ninja.  You also stand a very good chance at several things.

  1. Big fish are out and about.
  2. Pneumonia
  3. You might get sick, but you will have the river to yourself.
So...lets recap shall we?

Two weeks ago, fishing in shirtsleeves.
Then came enough rain to have you in search of gopher wood and animals two by two.
Then snow.
Then warm.
Then cold.
Then warm again.
Then an ice storm that dumped about a quarter inch of ice at my place.
Then warm...again.
and now.....

All the lakes in the T.V.A. chain are at summer pool.  The rivers are blown out for God knows how long, and I am getting a little stir crazy.

Do I still like rainy, nasty days?

Yep...

But just like having relatives over for an unexpected and overly extended visit.

I will be glad when it is gone.
