Suffering from irregularity

I had an online friend chide me this weekend for not posting more.  He has been a follower of The Perfect Drift for two years now and has been very supportive of the blog.

"Why so long between posts?", he asked.

Here is my reply

T.,
I don't post that often because I wait until I have something to say.  I tried that everyday post theory for a while, but I found myself having to dig.  I long to be a writer that is found in print...somewhere...on a consistent basis. I take this part of my craft very seriously and I just can't put something on here that I do not feel very strongly about...perhaps even on a spiritual or emotional level.  Fly fishing news and info or videos from around the world wide web are not my bag.  I want to thank you for your support and hope that my writing will be worth the wait.  My "Barlows and Bamboo" post has been well traveled and I hope that I will continue to see more folks enjoying what I have to say.  Thanks again for reading.

Marc

I have yet to find a print magazine that feels the same as my friend T., but it is my hope that someday I will catch the brass ring and find my way to the printed page.  Until then...I will continue to try and post something of worth...even if it is often very irregular.

Tight lines and peace
Marc
